Finshed "Halcyon"
I finished this commissioned piece and I called it "Halcyon" which has a couple of meanings, but I liked this definition: calm; peaceful; tranquil:
But it's also a mythical bird, usually identified with the kingfisher, said to breed about the time of the winter solstice in a nest floating on the sea, and to have the power of charming winds and waves into calmness. This fits pretty well with the piece as well...

New Koi Commission
A gentleman and his wife from central California came the Pod Room surf shop in Oceanside and bought a small piece of mine called "Given to Fly". They got in touch with me and asked me to do a custom piece for their home... here is the sketch for the piece I'm doing for them.

This is a 4 piece block set from the show I did at The Pod Room in Oceanside last month. They sold really fast, which was super cool... and people wanted more... so I've built more blocks and it's back to the drawing board, er, table.
