New Comission

My roommate Kyle connected a friend of his with me that wanted a custom painting for her bedroom, she envisioned a tree and left the rest to me. So, this is the first rough sketch of her piece, the final will be a bit different. There will be a female figure laying next to the tree though. It will have a much darker sky and the lighting will be very dramatic with hints of Maxfield Parish colors shining through... more to come on this piece, the final will be mixed media 3ft by 3.5ft on wood panel.

Starting Fresh

Well, I have become a statistic. I lost my job of 2 years on the 15th of this month due to a "reduction in force"... but that is ok. I am optimistic and am working hard to bring in a lot of projects. I'm ready to do as much freelance art, design and video work as possible. The economy is no bueno right now, and everyone is suffering from it. But, I think we all need to keep our chins up because if we listen to how bad it is and what the news tells us every day, it will be hard to turn things around. So, for me, it's onward and upward from here on out!

Once again it is time to work with DEMA (Downtown Encinitas Mainstreet Association) and paint a banner along with about 100 other local artists. These banners will line HWY 101 for a couple of months. So here is the beginning of the 7ft tall banner.... more to come soon when it's done...
